Robert William Sonnen

Born 1/18/1940. Died 7/24/2017 following a brave and stoic fight with cancer. Preceded in death by father Edward, mother Agnes, brother David, 1st wife Susan. Survived by his wife Barbara, sisters Mary, Katherine, Patricia (Lowell), Flora, Susan, and brother Michael(Julie); Children Wayne, Cynthia (James), Kenneth, Daniel (Karen); Cheryl (Thomas), John (Lorilyn), June (Edwin), Laura (Lou); Grandchildren Timothy, Sandra (James), Heather (Matthew), Shelly (Phillip), Jason (Courtney), Gina, Ashley, Nicholas, Michael, Kamien, Grace, Emma; Great-Grandchildren Alexandria, Alexandra, Jaylen, Meggan, Noah, Jackson, Levi, Rubye. Further survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many good friends.

During his time with the National Guard, Bob served in the Active Army during the Berlin Crisis in 1961-62 as a member of the 32nd Infantry Division Artillery. He then worked for Briggs & Stratton and retired as Supervising Electrician. Following his retirement after 38 working years, Bob, with his wife Barb, spent many happy years as active showing members of the Model A Ford Club of America - Wisconsin Chapter and the Milwaukee Area Volkswagen Club.

Visitation Monday, July 31 from 1pm – 3pm. Service to follow.
