Obituary for Olive A. Luebke (Anderson)

Formerly of Milwaukee, died Saturday, September 23 at North Haven Assisted Living in Stevens Point. Olive was born January 29, 1923 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Burton and Myrtle Anderson. She graduated from Pulaski High School and attended Milwaukee Downer College. She later graduated from Alverno College and taught Home Economics at Greendale High School for 17 years. She was married to Robert E. Luebke on August 5, 1943. He preceded her in death in December 2008. Together they enjoyed 65 years of marriage and traveled extensively, visiting every continent. Olive was a long-time member of Ascension Lutheran Church, in Milwaukee, where she was active in Altar Guild. She also enjoyed playing golf, cooking, and entertaining. Survivors include her sons John (Susan), Stevens Point and Paul, Madison, granddaughter Annie (Eric) Olson, grandson Seth (Jamie) Luebke, and great grandchildren Lily, Martin, Kip, and Porter. Schramka Borgwardt Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. A private family burial service will be held at Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee.
