Obituary for Daniel P. Dane

Dane, Daniel Paul
Born on September 26, 1949 the son of Joseph and Jacquelynne Dorszynski. Born to eternal life on January 5, 2018. Loving and devoted husband of Sue, the love of her life, the laughter in her voice, and the sparkle in her eye. Dan was the most amazing dad of Daniel (Shannon), Sarah (Brian) Connelly, Amy (Andrew) Falkowski, and Katie (Ryan) Auger. Proud and delighted to be “Poppa” to Xander Dane, “Grampa” to Rowan Connelly, “Pa” to Ginger and Walter Falkowski, and “Bump” to Maizy and Elliot Auger. Being a husband, dad and grandfather fulfilled Dan’s purpose in life. He loved helping others. He served his country as a security police officer in the Air National Guard. He was a volunteer firefighter/EMT on Hales Corners and Franklin Fire Departments. For many years Dan worked part-time at Bell Ambulance as an EMT. Until his death, he was the Senior Hearing Specialist at Costco in New Berlin and loved to say, “I was able to help someone hear better today.” He was a mentor to many, always gave freely of himself, and his circle of friends was extensive. He loved watching Packer games with Sue, Jack and Diane, John and Maryann, Sue H. and Gene, and Sue E. enjoying their companionship, laughter and camaraderie. He is survived by his sisters Linda (Bill) Kowalski and Mimi Dane, brothers Skip and Frank (Linda) Dane, his sister-in-law Nancy Dane, father-in-law Ernest Walters and other nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his brother Tom. Dan lost his courageous battle with prostate cancer. True to form, he never gave up. His faith and belief in God never wavered. Dan’s expressive, deep ocean blue eyes were the windows to his soul. He continued to help others even after his death by donating his eyes. Special thanks to Fr. Terry and Fr. Tony for their support, love and prayers.
Visitation on Saturday January 13th from 10:00 to 12:00 at St. Martin of Tours Parish, Franklin with Mass of Christian Burial at Noon followed by military funeral honors. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Martin of Tours debt reduction fund appreciated.
