Maureen McAvoy

I have many fond memories of my grade school friendship with Donna. I remember being welcomed into the Puerzer home for many sleep overs, playing with Donna’s younger sibs, and having home made cinnamon rolls in the morning. We hung out in the neighborhood, played volley ball and went to CYO dances at St. Ann’s, ice skated at Sherman Park, went to the movies at the Oasis and Parkway theaters, bought loads of penny candy at Gauthier's Corner Store, drank chocolate malts at Miller’s soda fountain, and loved the burgers at the Tivoli restaurant. Donna was one of the prettiest girls in our class with the best big hair and was always the most fashion forward and for sure the most confident. I am sorry for the family’s loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.
