Obituary for Alice Marie Liethen (Boehnlein)

Born to Eternal Life, on September 1, 2021, at the age of 94-years, Alice M. Liethen passed in her sleep. Loving mother of Robert Liethen (Kay), Carol Hack (Bill), and Lori Baez (Victor).

Preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Emma; sister, Bernice; and brothers, Elroy and Eugene. Further survived by her sister Doris, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Born in Brothertown, WI, Alice grew up on the family farm. She raised her family and kept books for her husband’s business, and later went on to pursue further education. Alice had a long, successful career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Milwaukee Branch followed by many more years at M&I and Wells Fargo Bank. Alice loved to work and did so, full time, until just before her 80th birthday.

Alice enjoyed fashion, following stocks on her computer, and was particularly fond of travel to the Hawaiian Islands, often inviting a family member to accompany her in paradise. Alice was a proud, independent woman.

Visitation Friday, September 10 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr., Hartland, WI 53029 from 4:00-5:00 PM followed by a Funeral Mass at 5:00 PM. Dinner to follow. If desired, the family requests memorials to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Heartfelt appreciation to Cecelia Place Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice. Your work is noble, thank you for the loving care of our mother, the Baez, Liethen, and Hack Families.
