Arden Lee Johnson, born August 20, 1936, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022 at the age of 85 years old, surrounded by family in Wauwatosa, WI. His health battle in recent years showed his strength in facing life’s challenges with courage and a sense of humor.
Arden was a beloved husband to Roma for nearly 63 years. He was a devoted and loving father to Larry, Amber (Fred), and Andrea (Pierre). Arden was an exceptionally proud Grandpa (G-PA) to Alyssa, Adam (Cassidy), Rebecca (Eric), Kobey (Annabelle) and Madelyn, and an overjoyed Great-Grandpa to John.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vera, as well as his brothers, Elwyn, Gaynes, and Phillip, sister-in-law Gwen, and daughter-in-law Ann. Survived by sister JoAnn (Sherman), sisters-in-law Jeanne and Mildred, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arden was a dedicated employee of Western Electric/ AT&T for over 37 years and a veteran of the US Army.
He was an extremely passionate and knowledgeable Wisconsin sports ‘super’ fan. He never missed a game, sometimes watching and listening to multiple at a time. He used his love of the Bucks, Brewers, Badgers, and Packers as a way to make connections with the people in his life, including doctors and nurses on tough days. He particularly enjoyed watching his family participate in sports, and was always in the stands cheering them on.
Arden loved his sweets. His favorite thing about the holidays, besides spending time with family, was undoubtedly dessert- especially pie.
His true passion, above all else, was his family. He took care of them, and was so grateful to them for taking care of him in return. He was proud of every accomplishment no matter how big or small. His quick wit, sharp mind, and love and laughter will be missed by all that knew him.
