Obituary for Br. Edward Havlovic SDS

Age 90, May 2, 2021 at Alexian Village, Milwaukee. Born Wilfrid Aloysius Havlovic on March 29, 1931, in Brainard, NE, one of fifteen children of Joseph and Edith (Rerucha) Havlovic. Enlisted in the Army after high school and served in Germany. Entered the Society of the Divine Savior (Salvatorians) on June 29, 1960. Ministered as teacher and librarian in St. Nazianz, WI, and Galt, CA; Director of Religious Education in Cookeville, TN; USA Province Archivist of the Salvatorians from 1986 to 2011 in Milwaukee. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Ernest, Joseph, Raymond, Francis, and Jerome. Survived by his sisters: Sister Ernestine N.D.,Omaha, NE; Marie (Lawrence) Mielak, Columbus, NE; Catherine (Charles) Lavicky, Dwight, NE; his brothers, James (Elaine), Stacyville, IA; Leonard (Joann), Wichita, KS; Bernard (Maureen), Lyle, MN; Martin (Maria), Portage, WI; Edwin (Leo), Weehauken, NJ; and George (Mary), El Paso, TX; sisters-in-law Emily, Brainard, NE; and Orletha, David City, NE; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; and his brothers and sisters in the Salvatorian Family.

Visitation Friday, May 14, from 10-11 AM at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 8661 N. 76th Place, with a Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Burial Friday, 3 PM at Salvatorian Cemetery in St. Nazianz, WI.
