On January 14th, 2020 Carol Bork passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 62 from pancreatic cancer.
Carol was born June 24th, 1957 in Milwaukee WI to Harold & Lois Schmoldt; the youngest of three children. She was raised under the watchful eye of not only her parents, but her Aunt Bernice & Uncle Al, and her sister Bonnie and brother Ronald.
Carol graduated from Custer High School, and shortly thereafter was married to Kurt Bork in June of 1976. They had two children together, Amy and Kurt Jr, and spent the next three decades raising them. They spent their time traveling the country, enjoying many softball games, swim meets and lake life in Muskego Wisconsin until Kurt Sr. passed away in 2007.
Carol had a fierce love of friends and family; willing to give the last dime she had to help any of them. She had an undying love for her children and loved their friends as if they were her own. She adored the outdoors and everything it had to offer; hunting, fishing, camping and boating were among Carol’s top ten. Many of bonfires and cookouts were had at the Bork home, every one of them filled with good food, good friends and good times.
Her mother Lois (Schmoldt), sister Bonnie (Jessen), brother & sister-in-law Ronald & Karen (Schmoldt), their children and grandchildren will remember Carol fondly and lovingly the rest of their days. She will be greatly missed by her own children, Amy (Scheper) and Kurt Jr (Bork), their spouses Rob (Scheper) & Amy (Bork) and their children, Charley (Brinks-Scheper) and Emmett, Owen & Avery (Bork). Carol’s passing has left a hole in their hearts and lives that can never be filled. Many more friends and family members will forever remember the time they spent with Carol and think of her often.
