Obituary for Clifford Albert Schill

Clifford A. Schill Sr.
Age 96, of Cocoa Beach, FL passed away Monday July 18, 2022 with his Family by his side after a brief illness.
Cliff was born December 5, 1925 to Albert and Anna (Schulz) Schill on the Schulz family farm in St. Martins, Franklin WI. In his younger years he left school to help in his Dad’s Butcher Shop during the depression. He was drafted into the Navy when he was 18 during World War II. His last assignment before the war ended was on Iwo Jima and stood where the American Flag was raised. After the war he returned back to Milwaukee to begin his career of owning his own businesses. First a Bar and Bowling Alley in Milwaukee before owning Schill’s Hales Corners Bowl. He then purchased his first Restaurant in Hales Corners which he named Clifford’s. Three more Clifford’s Restaurants followed one in Oak Creek, Muskego and on Lake Beulah.
In 1975 he began traveling down to Cocoa Beach, Florida where he started to invest in condominiums and businesses in the Cocoa Beach, Titusville, Rockledge and Ocala areas. His love for Cocoa Beach grew to the point that by 1980 he was a full time resident and would only make short visits back to Wisconsin. He became a pilot and over the years loved the hobby of flying. Met and made many good friends from his flying years. Bought and sold about five or six planes of which his Mooney was his favorite. He loved to sit and talk about all his flying adventures and stories.
In the last years of his life after he couldn’t fly anymore his new love became the Stock Market. He kept his mind sharp everyday by setting up his own trading work station in his condo and watching, strategizing and day trading on the stock market. His eyes and ears may have started to fail him but his mind never did.
He told us not to be sad when he left us because he had a long full life and he was ready to go when God decided to take him.
Clifford is survived by one son Scott (Sharon) of Rockledge, FL, two daughters Jeanne (Jim) Jewell of Poygan, WI, Linda Schill (Yancy Baker) of Cocoa, FL.
