Obituary for Donald Ray Hayden

Donald Ray Hayden (55) born January 14, 1967 returned to stardust on June 3, 2022 following a life full of love, loyalty, and friendship.

Donald grew up in Milwaukee WI, one of two children whose siblings grew into an outstanding group of 11 wonderful people. He lived in Milwaukee most of his life except for a few years when he was in the military stationed in Germany as a Military Police Officer. He loved Milwaukee, the festivals, fireworks, parades and wonderful park system we have here on this beautiful great lake.

For the past 29 years, he was married to the love of his life Trisa Hayden and raised two plus children, often acting as dad to other family members or neighbor kids. He loved Christmas and the 4th of July. Throughout his life, despite his many struggles with pain, he continued to make people laugh, smile and feel special with his funny sense of humor and his loving heart.

Donald was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Heaney (nee Abbott), his step father L. Daniels Heaney, and his brother John Andrew Burns.

He is survived by his father Donald L. (Francis) Hayden, wife Trisa Thomas Hayden, his two children Don Hayden (Lauren Falicki), Gabrielle Hayden, and nephew Angel Rivera, his siblings Maria (Hans) Brammer, Tina Hayden, Tabatha Blomburg, his 6 surviving Burns siblings (Richard Steven, Michael Floyd, Harvey Lee, William Leroy, Phillip Anthony, and Jeanett Virginia), his in laws Ray and Joy Thomas and many wonderful brothers and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, the whole of humanity which he loved as family and the universe full of hope. He was a special doggie daddy to Mrs. Nutters and a grampy to Simon (cat) and Jym (dog).

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on July 2, 2022 at St. Sebastian Church 5400 W Washington Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53208. Visitation 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass 11:00 am to 12:00 p.m. Please join us for a reception immediately following the church service from 12:30pm – 3:00pm at the home of our dear friends the Meyer & Siverling families 12127 W. Center Street Wauwatosa WI 53213.

Memorial donations can be made to Trisa Hayden to establish an education fund for his family. Donald believed that education was the key to everything in life whether it was reading a book, college, technical school, military, or another avenue.

His favorite movie was It’s a Wonderful Life, I hope to hear a bell ring someday and know he got his “wings”.
