Obituary for Fr. Gregory M. Coulthard SDS

Age 84, died August 31, 2022, in Milwaukee. Born March 16, 1938, to Arthur and Margarite (Wirth) Coulthard in Milwaukee. Entered the Society of the Divine Savior (Salvatorians) in 1959 and was ordained a priest in 1967. Was teacher and librarian in Washington, DC; Lancaster, NY; Galt and Sacramento, CA; and Reno, NV. Parish priest in Phoenix and El Mirage, AZ; Huntsville, AL; St. Nazianz, Chilton, and Plainfield, WI. Spent 25 years as chaplain in the US Air Force in USA, Africa, Japan, and Greenland. Served in the Society's General offices in Rome; Director of Vocations in Milwaukee; and part of the Formation Team in the Philippines. For 30 years, Fr. Greg was editor of province newsletters published at Salvatorian Center in New Holstein, and became the "face of the Salvatorians in the USA" to the benefactors and donors. Retired to Alexian Village in 2017. Preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters and their husbands: Jacqueline (Richard) Nighbor and Suzanne (Thomas) Fleming. Survived by nephews and nieces and their families, and his brothers and sisters in the Salvatorian Family.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 28, 11am at The Chapel of Alexian Village, 9301 N. 76th St. Visitation Wednesday at the Chapel from 10am until time of Mass. Interment of Remains in the Columbarium of Salvatorian Cemetery in St. Nazianz on Wednesday at 3:00 PM.
