Obituary for George F. Laukant

George F. Laukant went to his Heavenly Home on February 18, 2024.  He was born on May 8, 1936 in Leeds, WI to Max and Goldie (Crown) Laukant.  George was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth L. Laukant, and brothers Howard, Max, and Richard.  He is survived by his wife Brenda of Sussex, WI, daughter Katherine (William) Zietlow of La Valle, WI, grandchildren Brian (Tracy) Zietlow of DeForest, WI, Matt Zietlow of La Valle, WI, Jaron and Keiran Laukant of Baraboo, WI, great-grandchildren, Vella and Marshall Zietlow of DeForest, WI, brother Marvin (Janet) Laukant of Rock Springs, WI, and sisters Betty Burfeind of Wonewoc, WI, Doris Langdon and Shirley (John) Johnson.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially Lloyd and Helen Bender.

George was a veteran of the US Army and was a retiree of Gerber.  After retirement he worked at Reedsburg Hardwoods in Reedsburg, WI.  He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Pewaukee with Rev. Aaron Meyer.  George and Brenda were married on September 27, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV.

The family would like to thank George's neighbors, too numberous to name, who helped him in the end in the same way he had helped them over the years.

Per George's wishes, there will be no services.
