Obituary for Larry E. Spencer

Larry Edward Spencer was born on September 7, 1956 to the union of Ozzie Dell and John Bennie Spencer in St. Louis, Missouri.
After graduating from Vashon High School in St. Louis, Larry went on to serve our country as part of United States Airforce. Being too cool to follow the rules he decided to take a different career path. In 1975, he attended O’Fallon Technical Center in St. Louis, Missouri where he became certified as an Architect in Drafting. Loving his craft, he later decided to further his education obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in architecture which he later retired from. One of Larry’s many accolades is helping design the beautiful Northwestern Mutual building, located in downtown Milwaukee.
In 1977 Larry moved with his mother Ozzie and two siblings to Milwaukee, WI where they would be near other close relatives. After moving to Milwaukee, he met Lynn and in 1988, he was overjoyed with the arrival of his only son Gage Spencer. Larry was known for his hard work and dedication and his ability to overcome whatever life threw his way. Known for blowing minds with his magic tricks, his love for the Green Bay Packers, and being a ladies’ man. His most cherished memories are the many fishing trips he took with Gage and family. Larry will be missed dearly.
On May 5, 2021, after a long and courageous health battle, Larry passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Larry leaves to cherish his memory: one loving and devoted son Gage Spencer, one brother Ricki (Mildred) Spencer, three sisters, Rita, Magnolia (Maggie) Spencer and Dorothy Mae Fowler. Also surviving many nieces, nephews, cousins, loyal friends, his newest puppy Diego and a host of great- nieces and nephews.
Preceeded in death by his parents, John B and Ozzie Spencer, his brother Harvey C. Spencer, Aunt Delores Jenkins, great niece Rilei L. Spencer and his loving canine companion Cisco.
