Louis (Rusty) Eric Goecks, age 75, of Janesville, WI passed away peacefully on May 10, 2022. Louie was born on October 15, 1946, to Ervin and Dorothy (Buhlman) Goecks in Monroe, WI. After graduating from Monroe High School in 1964, he went on to serve in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, he served in the Vietnam war. He was proud of the time he served in the military and received many medals and awards during his 20 years in the Air Force. In 1982, Louie met Joyce Lee Hanson, and they wed July 2, 1982.

Louie was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Joyce. He is survived by his sister, Marie (Sam) Lynn; his sister, Jane (John) Burdick; his niece, Andrea Burdick; his nephew, Adam (Amy) Burdick; his niece, Martha (Sean) Bonson; his great niece, Anna Olson; and his great great nephews, Leo, and Elliot Knobel. Louie requested that his ashes be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean.

Louie was an active member of First Baptist Church in Janesville, WI. He is remembered for his sense of humor, unwavering faith, and kindness to all.
