Obituary for Otto W. Suderland

Born to life on July 31, 1929 in Racine, WI to Otto H. and Gertrude Suderland. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 14, 2021, he was 92 years young. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Neelen). Dear father of Brenda (Devin) Richard, Heidi Suderland and Donald (Sofia) Breimon. Loving grandfather of Zachary, Valeria and Jackie. Fond brother of Fritz (Joyce) Suderland, the late Jerome (Patricia) Suderland and the late Evelyn (the late Ronald) Nagi. Fond brother-in-law of Neele (the late Judy) Neelen. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many friends and neighbors.

Otto was an employee of WI Gas for 41 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Member of the Central United Methodist Church. Otto was a member of the Old Time Ballplayers Assoc. of WI, where he was a founding member of the Hall of Fame in 1981. He was inducted into the Old Time Ballplayers Hall of Fame in 1987. In 2020, Otto was elected to the 50 Plus Magazine Senior Softball All-Star Team, covering the last half century. He played baseball and later softball for over 75 years.

A celebration of Otto's life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Central United Methodist Church: 639 N. 25th St. in Milwaukee. Visitation 11:00-1:00 WITH A SERVICE AT 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Central United Methodist Church in Milwaukee or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
