Obituary for Patricia Rae Perry (Morgan)

Patricia Rae (nee Morgan) Perry was born to eternal life on April 29, 2021. She will be deeply missed by her brother-in-law Mario L. Ruggeri, her niece AnaMaria (Nicholas) Straszewski, her nephews Anthony (Julie) Ruggeri, Andrew (Barbara) Ruggeri, and James Ruggeri and their children. She is further survived by her many cousins and dear friends.

Pat was a graduate of St. John's Cathedral High School in 1953. She studied English, Shakespeare, and creative writing at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and had a lifelong love of learning. She was a rarity in Milwaukee in the 1970's and 1980’s as one of the few female club managers. She managed the Milwaukee Yacht Club and the Chenequa Country Club. In her retirement in Cathedral City, California, she volunteered as a docent at the Living Desert Museum. Later she began her own online retail clothing business, and she continued it even upon her return to Wisconsin in 2018. Pat was a connoisseur of fine wines and gourmet food, traveling extensively to experience new cuisines to educate herself and use this knowledge to provide the best experiences for her club members. She was an amazing hostess, creating festive parties at the holidays with themes that delighted her guests. She appreciated and collected art and practiced photography. She was a supporter of education for Native American children. Pat was a staunch supporter of women’s rights and followed government actions very closely. All her online customers received a copy of the Constitution with their purchase because she felt everyone should know it well.

Most of all, Pat loved all animals great and small. She contributed to many causes which supported animal welfare. She was devoted to her late cats Princess, Duke and Tilly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Eva Morgan, and her sister, Mary Morgan Ruggeri.
Donations in her memory may be made to HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County.
