Obituary for Philip M. Eserkaln

Cherished husband of Geri for nearly 60 years, was born into life January 22, 1935 and sailed for new horizons on July 31, 2019. He is survived by daughters, Debbi (Dave) Sullivan, Gail (Curley) Weber and Nancy (Andy Bare) Eserkaln and six grandsons.

Yes, he relished the notion of all those boys after a household of 4 females (not counting the cats.) Phil loved family-time, camping, sailing, biking, card games, and television. For years, he and his wife Geri participated in a camping group and card club.

Phil followed in his father's footsteps to Kempsmith Machine Company in West Allis, where he continued to work for 42 years. He wore many hats during that time including Engineer, Shop Manager, and "chief boiler fixer". He was a supportive father who artfully balanced letting his children make their own mistakes, while always being there to catch them if they stumbled. Today his absence leaves a sadness in our hearts, but many unforgettable memories in our lives.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's would be appreciated.
