Obituary for Rod Allen Sherman
Rod Allen Sherman
May 15, 1958- April 17, 2024
Rod always had an interest in electronics, from taking apart all the alarm clocks at home when he was a pre-schooler or repairing TVs in his youth, even for a neighbor. He later was an avid short wave ham radio operator, talking with people in far-away locations.
Rod attended MATC and studied electronics and was so proud to graduate in 1990.
When one of his friends moved to Florida, he followed for sunny skies and hot weather. He said that 90 degrees was perfect for a bike ride. Many years later when things turned bad in Florida, he relinquished his sunny paradise to return to WisCOLDsin to be near family. We were able to have him here for three months before a tragic fall.
We know he is very happy to be with Mom and Dad in heaven. He was a solid believer in Jesus as his Savior. Now in heaven he can explore physics and the mysteries of the universe to his hearts content.
A memorial Service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park on May 3, 2024 at 1:30PM in the Chapel of the Flowers.
