Obituary for Roland F. Alt

Alt, Roland (Rolly) F. Age 101. Of Menomonee Falls, died January 20, 2019. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 65 years, Carol. Survived by his daughters, Eileen Alt Powell (G.G. LaBelle), Joanne (Robert) Bolfert, Valerie (David) Pahr and Marcia (Randy) Heuser; his sons, Fred (Carol), Alan (Lin), Stuart (Cindy), David (Cathy) and Ed (Julie); his grandchildren, Matt (Hiroko), Allyson, Griffin (Holly), Haley, Carole and Andy Alt; Christopher (Abby) Brockman; Kristin (Zach) Thomas; Doug (Shannon) Pahr; Annalise, Brian and Jaclyn Heuser; his great grandchildren, Keira, Gavin and Kylie Brockman, Jackson Pahr and Alex Thomas; nieces and nephews.

Roland was born in Algoma, Wisconsin, on January 27, 1917, the fifth of five children. He was a graduate of Algoma High School Class of 1934 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Class of 1940. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and worked for Allis-Chalmers for over 39 years in the Payroll and Accounting departments. His passions in retirement were woodworking and sailing. He had a sailboat on Lake Michigan from 1954 to 2016. Our thanks to the personnel at Menomonee Place for their care, help and kindness during Roland's residency.

Private family service and burial were held at Valhalla Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
