Obituary for Thomas Henry Kieren

Of New Jersey, formerly of Milwaukee was Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the age of 79. Survived by loving companion Venus Suksomnil for 30 years, and her son Benjamin. Nieces and nephews Mike (Cindy) Kieren, Patti Kieren, Jim Kieren, Missi (Kenn) Anderson, Mary (Mike) Obermeier, Linda (Steve) Sopkowicz, Ann (Bob) McCormick, and Jane Murphy (Joe). He is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Hildegarde Kieren, brother John (Doris) Kieren and sister Barbara (George) Gadow.

Tom was a proud graduate of Marquette University High School and enjoyed returning to Milwaukee often for reunions. He attended College of the Holy Cross in MA, and earned degrees in Economics, Philosophy and Sociology. He earned an MBA in marketing at University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
He spent most of his adult life in New York and New Jersey. He was president and managing partner of the Manhattan Consultant Group Inc. which specialized in industry specific performance and due diligence studies for private equity investment firms, merchant banks, and industrial corporations.

Later, he followed a true passion of photography. He attended the International Center of Photography in NYC. He is founder and lead photographer of Architectural, Interiors Landscape, & Product Photography. He is known for his photography of educational, cultural, religious, hospitality, financial, healthcare, governmental and commercial institutions. He is known within the photography industry as a celebrated photographer, educator, public speaker, seminar developer, consultant, author and exhibitor.

He was also passionate about music, specifically trumpet playing. Throughout school he participated in marching and dance bands. He was Co-founder of the Worcester Community Youth Band, Chicago Land Club. Most recently he was trumpeter with the Jefferson Jazz-Swing ensemble. They perform at various Jazz clubs, community, charity, religious, corporate, and private events.

He received the honor of Formation Degree of the Knights of Columbus. He belonged to the George Washington Council 359 in Morristown, New Jersey.
