Born to Life on June 28, 1947 in Augusta, ME to James Haney and Gertrude Daley Haney. Born to Eternal Life on September 30, 2019 in Mequon, WI surrounded by her husband and children after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Gerald M. Chmielewski. Dear mother of Melanie (David) Faulds and Jeremy (Trina) Chmielewski. Loving grandmother of Devon and Rebecca Rios, Courtney and Collin (Kellie) Faulds, Zachary Fugate, Joshua (Andrea) and Ashlyn Chmielewski. Special great-grandmother of Isabella and Emmett Chmielewski. Dear sister of Nancy (Paula Monahan) Palmer, James Travis "JT" (Mary) Haney, Betty (Dennis) Stephens, Charlie Haney, and Marilyn (Charlie) Hall. Dear sister-in-law of Richard Chmielewski and Mary Dodge. Preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law Alex and Martha Chmielewski, grandson Brandon Gregory Rios, brother John Haney, and brother-in-law Neil (the late Mary) Chmielewski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her cherished pets Daisy and Rosie Chmielewski.

Virginia's family will miss sharing her love of gardening, cooking, baking, numerous crafts, long rides in the Corvette, and most of all, her friends and home away from home in Arkansas.
