Virginia Adele (nee Schindhelm) Driesen
Born September 17, 1920 in Milwaukee, WI, she entered into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior at the age of 100 years on Monday, November 23, 2020. Beloved wife of Frederick E. Driesen for 70 years, Virginia was the dear mother of Gary (Marilyn) Driesen of Martinez, GA; Kay (Charles) Petrie of Hartford, WI; Neil (Laurie) Driesen of Wauwatosa, WI; Kevin (Maria Antonieta) Driesen of Tucson, AZ; and Steven (Patricia Krause) Driesen of San Mateo, CA. She is survived by ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Virginia, the daughter of Edward and Anna Schindhelm, will be reunited in heaven with siblings Myrtle, Esther, Ervin, and Wallace.
Virginia worked at the U.S. Department of Treasury during WWII before she became a loving, devoted mother helping her five children discover miracles in life. She worked as a teachers-aide at Milwaukee Public Schools- 31st School for many years and a Women’s Auxiliary member to the Local #3 United Federation of Postal Clerks Union. Virginia and her husband Fred were loyal members of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Milwaukee for over 70 years.

A celebration of Virginia’s eternal life will be organized during the summer months of 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any memorial donations in Virginia's name be given to Ascension Lutheran Church, 1236 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, 53215. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
