Obituary for William Robert "Bill" Casey Jr.

Passed peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020, surrounded by his family at the age of 62. He was born in Minnesota, the son of William R. Sr. and Mary Casey. Bill married the love of his life Jean (nee Linder) in 1988.

Bill is lovingly survived by his wife, Jean Casey of 32 years; children, Jaime (Conrad) Lange, Joe Walsh, Kristen Casey and Bob Casey; grandchildren, Cayden and Amara Lange. He is further survived by sisters, Barb McCall and Beth Casey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill’s passion was helping others. After overcoming his personal struggle with addiction, he dedicated his life to helping the betterment of others. Whether that meant feeding and clothing the less fortunate with the homeless ministry he headed; Misfits for Jesus or helping someone through recovery. Bill was someone who would go out of his way to help anyone and everyone; and sometimes that meant buying snacks for a bus full of military personal on their way up to training just because he felt like it. Bill had the gift of gab and he used it in the best way he could, being a Pastor for Misfits for Jesus. Bill had the ability to make everyone feel loved and important. He worked hand in hand with Celebrate Recovery, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, and Fox River Christian Church. Bill also loved love, he adored getting to officiate the weddings of some of his dear friends.

Bill especially loved his role of Papa. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and every time he saw them his eyes lit up. He enjoyed getting to take family trips with the family to the Dells where he got to have fun with not only his grand kids but all 4 of his children and his wife. One of his favorite things were his Friday night date nights with Jean, the love of his life. When they were together, everyone in the room could see the true love.

Bills family would like to thank all of their friends and family for the love and support in this trying time. They would also like to thank the staff at Froedtert Hospital and Horizon Hospice who ensured his comfort for the transition to his home in the sky.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2020 from 2pm until the time of the 4pm Service of Remembrance at Fox River Christian Church, S46W24130 Lawnsdale Rd Waukesha WI 53189.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
