Obituary for Yoshiko Ann Mudrock (Yoshida)

Yoshiko A. (nee Yoshida) Mudrock

Our Little Momma entered into Glory to be reunited with our dad and with her Lord and Savior Jesus, on May 8, 2021 at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Lawrence N. Mudrock Jr. of 67 years. Beloved mother of the late Robert Mudrock, John (Kay) Mudrock, Jacqueline (James) Graef, and Ronald (Marla) Mudrock. Proud grandmother of James J. (Paula) Graef Jr., Chad (Heidi) Graef, Shawn (Jacque) Graef, David Graef, Joseph (Angelica) Graef, Jordan (Jamie) Mudrock, Marissa Mudrock, Adam (Catie) Unold, Claudia (Carl) Surtees, Lisa Mudrock-Werner, and Lori Mudrock. Best great-grandma of Abby, Emily, Kolten, Max, Savanah, Hadley, Jordan (Scott), Meghan, Gabrielle, Mya, Alex, Hunter, Emma, Damien, Avery, Evelyn, Cody, Taylor, Milo, Bennet, Margo, Brielle, Lucas, Ava, Gavin, and Emmett. She is further survived by a brother Masayasu, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Yoshiko was preceded in death by her parents Choshichi and Haru (nee Azuka) Yoshida; sisters Hideko and Toshiko; siblings-in-law, Donna (Darryl) Mudrock, Jerry (the late Kathy) Mudrock and Gary Mudrock. Everyone knew her as “Banana Grandma” and “Fruit Snack-Grandma”.

She was born in Tokyo, Japan and worked as an Insurance Secretary before moving to the States in 1954 after she met her lifelong love, Lawrence while he was stationed in Japan for three and a half years; They both worked and retired from Briggs & Statton after about 34 years. Yoshiko also was an interpreter at Briggs for the Daihatsu Company; she taught Japanese at Lincoln High School from 1999-2000. Her weekends were filled with working and greeting people at Dutch’s Sukiyaki House on the south side of Milwaukee which is now the Packing House in the mid to late 60’s until it closed.

Our mother was a kind, gentle, sweet and “one in a Trillion” women. Her sacrifices and love molded who my brothers and I are today.

Many will say their mom was the best but, those who knew our mom would agree She was the Best!

"WE WILL SEE YOU BOTH AGAIN IN HEAVEN".
