Little League and Boy Scout League. Al volunteered to help with the
refurbishment of the Historic Clarke House in Butler which is now listed in both
the National and State registers of Historic Places. He also volunteered for the
Butler Area Chamber of Commerce in various capacities and they also
nominated Al for Citizen of the Year in 2010. He shared painting and sheet
metal expertise during the construction of the Butler Library. Since 1973, Al
enjoyed running for various charities and competed in hundreds of running
events. He also qualified for and completed the Boston Marathon in 1976, 1977
and 1984.
Extending special thanks to the Image Group friends of Al who provided
long time companionship and assistance over several past decades especially
since the death of his wife, Bernice in 2004. In recent years, they have
provided wonderful support to the family as well.
