Alicia L. Walker, age 90, of Franklin was born into eternal life on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her home. She was born on November 20, 1934 in Lima, Peru, the daughter of Maria Delores and Norberto Velasquez. Alicia attended schools in Lima, Peru. She also attended Glendale College in Glendale, California where she graduated with an Associate's Degree. While in California, she met the love of her life, Harold Walker.
Alicia and Harold were united in marriage on September 18, 1965. During her working years, Alicia spent much of her career as a Sales Administrator for Iberia and Mexicana Airlines. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Oak Creek. Alicia and Harold loved to travel and spent many years traveling to various places around the world. She loved to collect elephants during her travels. Alicia also loved watching birds fly into her numerous birdhouses she had collected over the years. She loved to spend time with her special nephews, Stephen and William, and niece, Kayla and their families.
Survivors include her loving husband, Harold; son, Andrew (Melissa) Walker of Germantown; sister, Lolita Hardy of Reseda, California; brothers and sisters in law; Michael Sminchak; Virginia (Larry) Kopplin; Pam (Dennis) Losey; Kathy (Rick) Applewhite; Gary (Terry) Sminchak along with many other family and friends. Alicia is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ella; a brother, Norberto; and other family members.
A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Schramka Funeral Home, W164 N9034 Water Street Menomonee Falls, WI. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 10am until time of service at 12pm. A burial service will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery, 19011 W Main Street, Lannon, WI following the service.
