"Lisa"
Recently passed away quietly and peacefully but suddenly, way to early for her 45 years of life. Lisa's thoughtfulness of others, humility, and welcoming smile were loved by all who knew her
Lisa loved being around nature where she enjoyed camping, swimming, and beautiful, serene memories. She loved taking part in Native American traditions and sharing her beliefs with her son Fox, family and friends. Lisa had a love for playing the piano, reading poetry, photography; looking to capture special moments with those she loved and cared for, raccoons, everything to do with traditions of Halloween and participated in the Bristol Renaissance Faire.
As a child Lisa and her childhood friend, Tammy, would play school; with Lisa being the teacher. Years later she would become a kindergarten teacher at Victory Elementary School where she played an integral part in the development of an Italian Immersion Program at the school She loved teaching and her students.
Lisa's love for travel became part of her life as a travel agent. Lisa's love for caring for others brought her to do volunteer in hospice care, worked on Women's programs and was a union organizer.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lisa attended the Milwaukee High School of the Arts and with her love of theater performed in a Shakespearean play at Alverno College. She is a a graduate of UWM - Milwaukee with an Italian Major, English Minor, and a field of study in American Indian Studies. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa UWM Milwaukee Chapter. She is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University with an undergrad in Early Childhood Education.
Lisa was cherished by many, especially her beloved son Fox Nico Wolter, mother Marion (Mike) Lentz, aunts Pam (Vance) Verbrick, and Lynn (Michael, David, Daniel) Downs, uncle Mark (Audrey) Bodien, beloved great-aunt Zia, her boyfriend Nic Barjas, godmother Mary Meisenheimer and family, Kerry Lanier, best friend/sister Anrianna and family and uncle Jack (Joanne, Bryan, Jennie) Bodien. She was also blessed with many close family members and friends far and wide.
Lisa was a very kind, caring and loving person. She will be missed greatly by all who crossed paths with her. her family loved her deeply. A family Celebration of Life will be held privately. God Bless.
