Andrew Rech

Passed away on Sun, Jan.30, 2022, at the age of 94, at The Lutheran Home, Milwaukee. He was born on Dec.10, 1927, in Logansport, IN the son of the late John and Valeria (Krause) Rech. Andrew moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1943. He was a graduate of Messmer Highschool, Marquette University, and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Andrew married Jolene Orley on Nov.10,1962, and moved to Menomonee Falls, WI in 1967. A proud son of Indiana, Andy loved playing basketball in his youth and in the Army. He enjoyed watching and playing golf, and bowling in a league. During his retirement he and Jolene enjoyed travel to Europe; they took cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean. As a social person he enjoyed telling stories of his early years growing up on a farm with his three brothers. Andy will be remembered for his deep voice, easy going personality, kindness, gentle demeanor and love of Big Band Music, Classic Movies and a good Brandy Old Fashioned. Andrew is survived by his children, Peggy Buege of Denver, CO, Mary Rech of Brookfield, WI, Ross Rech of Henderson, NV, and Steve (Andrea) Rech; grandchildren, Noah, Olivia, Jacob, and Hayden; brother Tom Rech of Oviedo, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jolene Rech; son, Carl Rech; brothers, John and Gene Rech. A visitation will be held on Sat., Feb., 5, 2022, from 10:00AM until the time of the 12:00 Noon Funeral Service at Schramka Funeral Home. Entombment will be private at St. Mary's Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
