Ann V. LeFever, PhD
Ann Violet LeFever passed away on June 27, 2024 at the age of 71 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Milwaukee on September 25, 1952.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald P. LeFever, sons Scott LeFever, the late Matthew LeFever, and Christopher (Sarah) LeFever, brothers- and sisters-in-law Gerard (Maureen) LeFever, Henry (Carol) LeFever, and Sandra (William) Ward, and other relatives and friends.
Ann graduated from Northwestern University in 1973, Master of Science from the University of Oklahoma in 1975. She worked in Cancer Research at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee and received her PhD in Immunology from Marquette University in 1981 where she was selected a member of the Jesuit Society of Alpha Sigma Nu.
She received the Fr. Pedro Arupe, S.J. Alumni Award from Marquette University in 1995, Service Award from the MU Graduate School Alumni Association in 1997. She also was on the National Board of Directors of the MU Alumni Association in 1993 and Chair from 1989-1990.
Ann also taught Immunology for several years at the Medical College of Wisconsin and spent many years as Director of Cell Therapy at St. Luke's Hospital. She also later served as Director of the Matthews Center for Cellular Therapy at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Ann's passion was working in Cancer Research specializing in individual cancer treatments in conjunction with cancer doctors as well as operating and supervising cell therapy treatments. She loved her husband and her three sons and we all loved her very much. We are extremely proud of her achievements. She was a great wife and mother and we will all miss her deeply.

from 11 AM to 12 PM at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish, 1755 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 PM. Private burial at Long Lake Cemetery, Long Lake WI.
