Annette Mucha

December 31, 1969 — March 13, 2021

Annette (Annie) Elizabeth Mucha (Mueller) entered her eternal home on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Suzanne. Survived by her husband David, sons David M., James J., Robert J. and many friends and relations. Annette was born in Milwaukee on June 30, 1936, daughter of Herbert Louis Mueller and Anne Suzanne Gmeiner. After graduating from high school, she worked at Reliance Savings and Loan and shifted to being a secretary for a local doctor when she wanted to raise a family. She worked hard to provide for her family and be a good mother all at the same time. She was always home in time to welcome her three boys David Michael, James Joseph and Robert John from school with warm fresh baked goods, and an eager curiosity about their days and then would cook dinner from scratch for the family every evening. Her life centered on her family, she had many interests through the years and was a valued friend to many. Creativity and working with her hands on delicate projects were her lifelong passion. At an early age she pursued the violin. Later she began quilting, knitting, and needlepoint. Her skill provided the family with warm sweaters, hats and mittens for frigid winter activities such as skiing, ice hockey and fishing. Annie, as she was known to close friends and family, was a devoted wife and partner to husband David Leonard, sadly missing their 60th wedding anniversary on April 8th. They spent every waking hour together when not at their jobs. Dave and Annie loved their cruising boat "Martinque", and lived on board during the warm Wisconsin summers. During more frigid times of year, they took long cruises to scenic destinations around the world. Annie and Dave had many close personal friends, some from childhood and others from their years as active members of the South Shore Yacht Club, Corvette Club and hockey activities. Annie was also a warm, loving grandmother to Kristin, Joe, Brandon, Nonie and Soren. Annette, was preceded in death by her brother Herbert J. Mueller and both of her parents. As we look back on her life, and the gifts she gave to many, what stands out is how she guided others gently, allowing them to find their own passions, make their own mistakes and supporting them when they failed. She was compassionate, strong when she had to be, and completely devoted at all times.
