Arlyne M. Hoffmann passed away July 10th, 2024. Arlyne was born to Julius and Rose Glass on April 18
th
, 1942. She spent a happy childhood in Milwaukee, WI where she attended Custard High School. She later married her high school sweetheart, Michael D. Hoffmann.
Arlyne always had a passion for helping children in need. She earned a degree in Special Education from Cardinal Stritch University. In addition to teaching, she also opened her home to foster many children. With her husband they adopted two children, Julie A. Hoffmann (Paul Lisinski) and Michael F. Hoffmann.
Arlyne enjoyed hosting friends, shopping, sampling a variety of foods, modeling new fashions, connecting on social media and collecting treasures. Above all Arlyne loved spending time with family, including her grandchildren Christopher M. Hoffmann (Rebecca E. Hoffmann), Elizabeth R. Hoffmann, Matthew R. Hoffmann (Isamarys Cosme Torres), and Ashley L. Hoffmann (Evan Tornow). As well her great grandchildren Mackenzie G. Hoffmann, Noah M. Hoffmann, Kaleb J. Hoffmann-Cosme, Adelynn F. Hoffmann, Matthew I. Hoffmann-Cosme and beloved dog Brindle. They enjoyed watching films, trying new restaurants, window shopping, and reminiscing over old photos. She affectionately became known to all as Mema.
Arlyne led a life of faith, born into Judaism and later converting to Catholicism. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven after being reunited with the love of her life, Michael.
Arlyne will be laid to rest at Valhalla Memorial Park near her late husband Michael. You're welcome to pay your final respects on Saturday, July 20

. Visitation and service to be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schramka Funeral Home (13220 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005) with burial to follow.
