Arthur Giesfeldt

March 16, 1934 — May 28, 2021

Passed peacefully on May 28, 2021 at the age of 87. He was at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. Loving husband of Sylvia (Haizel) of 65 years. Dear father, mentor, and friend of Lynne and John Kreuzer, Lori and Jim Brown, and Ann and Mike Albert. Loving grandfather of Christopher (Amanda), Alex (Jenna), Tanner, Shannan, Brandi, and AJ. Great-grandfather to Lexi, Owen, and Gabe. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and wonderful neighbors. Preceded in death by his parents Donald and Margaretha Giesfeldt and his sister Marilyn Radtke. Dick was the foreman of Northside Lumber and Fuel at the North Chambers street yard, where he worked for 50 years. He was a longtime member of the Carpenters Union #264. In 1955 he joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard, 128th Air Refueling Wing. He was a proud veteran of 39 years. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Dick and his wife shared a love of roller skating. They met at a local roller skating rink and became a couple, and married in 1956. Together they have enjoyed going to casinos, retiree luncheons, animals, and relished time with family. His passing leaves a big hole in our hearts and he will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 8 from 3-6 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park- Chapel of the Chimes (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield). Service to follow. Special thanks to nurses and staff at Angels Grace Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion towards our entire family.
