Barbara Prevort

Menomonee Falls, WI – Barbara Prevort, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12th, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on Wednesday, January 4th, 1950, in a time of great change and hope, Barbara brought joy and kindness to all who knew her.
Barbara devoted much of her life to education, working as a Teacher’s Aid, where she touched the lives of countless children with her warmth and compassion. Her dedication to others was not confined to the classroom. She was a guiding light for many as the president of a support group that helped parents cope with the unimaginable loss of children to violence. Her empathy and strength provided comfort and healing to many families.
A resident of Menomonee Falls, WI, Barbara’s heart was always full of love. She cherished her family above all else. She leaves behind her loving husband, Frank Prevort, and her devoted children, Mark Goddard, Dean (Christa) Goddard, and David (Laura) Goddard. Her memory will also be carried forward by her dear sister, Carol, and brother, Robert, as well as by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchild. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Arline Rispalje, and her son, John Goddard, whom she now joins in everlasting rest.
Beyond her family and professional contributions, Barbara was passionate about animals and an avid dog trainer. Her home was always filled with the warmth of her pets and the laughter of loved ones. She found joy in sewing and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her artistic spirit and attention to detail.
Barbara's legacy is one of love, resilience, and community. All who knew her will dearly miss her spirit, but her compassion and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
