Barbara Ann (Jurewicz) (Zapka) Schwellinger, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born to Eternal Life May 10, 2025 joining her husband, Joseph Schwellinger and other loved ones in Heaven. Barbara Ann is survived by her children Alfreda Mariani, Fred (Shannon) Zapka, Michael Zapka, Maribeth (Craig) Bedford and Janice (Joe) Riel; 12 grandchildren and two great grand-daughters. Also survived by brothers, a sister, many other family and friends. Barbara Ann's commitment to her community was unwavering, as seen in her dedicated volunteer work at Mother of Perpetual Help (Immaculate Heart of Mary) Catholic Church including lector, bell choir and communion distributor. She spent many years as part of the Cursillo Movement. In addition, Barbara Ann was a faithful member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 30 years. Barbara Ann loved her sports; from playing basketball in her youth, to cheering on her grandchildren and even joining in on their fun, to recording every game she couldn't watch to ensure she never miss a play. Barbara Ann was proud to call herself an Accountant as her lifelong career. She took much pride in her home and surroundings, planting flowers and enjoying the yard. Her home was always open and would offer you a homemade meal. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family, spirited nature, her heart of giving and lifelong friendships. She will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends. A special thank you to Aurora Home Hospice and a dear friend Marcy for their kindness, gentleness, and dignity that they gave to Barbara Ann. In addition to Barbara Ann's Celebration of Life at Wisconsin Memorial Park on May 23, a Catholic Mass will be held in her honor at Immaculate Heart of Mary on May 24 at 4pm.
