Bernard Luchinske

Bernard David Luchinske age 75, passed away Sunday October 20 ^th , 2024 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA medical center. His residence was in the Town of Westfield, Wi., but he liked the Milw. VA Hospital for all his appointments so a van would pick him up and bring him back home afterwards. Bernie was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. to Benjamin & Mildred Luchinske on May 18, 1949. He attended Menomonee Falls High School and joined the Marine Corps therafter. He had several different jobs through life, bartender being the one he liked a lot, and machine operator (screen printer) at Reinz Wisconsin Gasket Co. in Milw. He left that job after he qualified for disability associate with his military service. He was a proud Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. His unit went on several patrols where he was a radioman and combat troop. He was a life member of the West Bend VFW and also the NRA. Bernard is preceded in death by his father: Benjamin David Luchinske, mother Mildred Hazel Luchinske/Livingston, and brothers Robert, Dennis, Randy and Steven Luchinske. Bernard is survived by his brother Gary (Christine) and sister Linda (Mark) Schoemann, his sister- in-law Rona and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation Friday, November 8th, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Schramka Funeral Home, 13220 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, with a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with military honors to follow.
