Betty Horning

Betty Jayne Horning née Karolus Age 83, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2020 at home. She was born Dec 30, 1936 in Tigerton, WI to Frederick and Irene Karolus. She grew up in Tigerton and moved to West Allis when she was 10 years old. She married James Robert Horning on June 25, 1955 at St Martini Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and honeymooned in Washington DC and Niagara Falls. In 1959 they bought their first home and raised 4 beautiful children. She enjoyed working in the yard, cooking and camping with the family. After raising their family they moved to CA and FL and ended up back in WI. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Jim, children Lisa (Jeff) Korotko, Menomonee Falls, Steven (Angie) Horning (Hartford) and Karen (Ron) Williams (Menomonee Falls) Grandchildren Amanda, Andrew, Dan, Ashley, Josh, Corey, Kalyn, Elizabeth and Sam. Great-grandchildren Samantha, Arlen, Cora, Ruby and Quinn. Sisters Mae Reece Sekula and Mary Ellen (Ralph) Dallmann. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Susan Jayne Violette, brothers Donald, Gerald and sister Dorothy. The family would like to thank Glenda, Jarvis and Sandy of Horizon Hospice for the wonderful care of our Mother. There will be a private service followed by an open house to celebrate her life at the home of Ron and Karen Williams N89W16296 Cleveland Ave Menomonee Falls on Sunday, August 9, 2020 between the hours of 12:30-4:30.
