Beverly Beth Nelson of Slinger passed away on May 2, 2026 at the age of 93 years old. Beverly, affectionately known as “Bev” has gone home to heaven to join her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Thomas Keith (TK) Nelson and her cherished son, Jeffrey (Jeff) Jay Nelson. She is survived by her two daughters. Dee Dee (Rick) Schilffarth and Kirky Kraemer.
Bev was known to both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Grammy. She loved and treasured her time with them. Her grandchildren include: Josh (Katie) Kraemer, Sammy (Kesler) DeRuyter, Zach (Anna) Kraemer, Susie Custer (Rich Perkett), Julie (Aaron Harris) Custer, and Steve Custer. In addition, her great grandsons: Thomas Jeffery (aka Jordan) Custer, Jeffrey Elton Kraemer and Easton Kesler DeRuyter; and her two beautiful great granddaughters, Cora Lin Kraemer and Avery Leiten DeRuyter. She is further survived by her sister in law, Shirley Olson and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Bev was born on June 2, 1932 in humble beginnings to loving parents, Gordon and Wilhemin (Billie) Jacobson. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom on August 22, 1953. Bev was known for her inner and outer beauty, event planning, and her love of antiques. Tom and Bev lived in Brookfield until the 1990’s and settled into the Elkhart Lake community thereafter.
Bev had a variety of interests and was active in multiple organizations and activities in both Brookfield and Elkhart Lake. She was President of the Brookfield Jaycettes and Elkhart Lake Study Club. She as a board member of the Elkhart Lake Chamber of Commerce and Point Elkhart Condominium Association. She was further an active member of Elkhart Lake Improvement Association and the Wisconsin Republican Party. Bev also was an instructor for Patricia Stevens in Chicago and Milwaukee.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday May 11, 2026 at 4 pm at the Schramka Funeral Home (W164N9034 Water St. Menomonee Falls, 53051). A Visitation will be held from 2pm until time of Service at 4pm.
Bev will be greatly missed by her family and many friends, new and old. The family wishes to thank Serenity Villa and Preceptor for the wonderful and loving care Bev was provided.
