Boyd Meyers

May 13, 1954 — February 15, 2024

Born into eternal life on February 15, 2024. He is survived by his sons Christopher Meyers and Daniel (Misty) Meyers, and daughters Kimberly Acompanado-Bohmann (Andrew), Erin Quinnell (Corey), Natalie Gross (Bill Shank), his grandchildren Owen and Hugo Meyers, Alexsander, Nicholas and Georgia Acompanado, Ethan and Anthony Bohmann, Charlotte, Reid and Skylar Quinnell, Brodie and Harley Shank, his siblings Bill Jr (Cindy) Meyers, Cheryl (Andy) Mandera, step-sisters Dawn and Sandra York, step-mother Laura Meyers. Preceded in death by his wife Gail Gross-Meyers, parents William Sr & Patricia Meyers, sister Peggy and granddaughter Kennady Quinnell. He was further loved by many other relatives and friends. Boyd joined the South Beloit IL Police Department in 1977 and was a proud member for over 30 years. During his time on the force, he achieved multiple honors including Detective and Lieutenant. In his spare time, he also dedicated his services to the South Beloit Fire Department and was a member of the Winnebago Sheriff's Department. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, visiting historical battlefields, scuba diving, monthly breakfast meetings with his old cop friends, reading, watching John Wayne movies, and spending time with all of his grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Schramka Funeral Home, 13220 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield WI on Monday, February 26th from 11am to 1pm, followed by a memorial service at 1pm. Memorial contributions can be made in Boyd's name to an organization honoring his granddaughter Kennady Quinnell at www.curesma.org
