It is with a heavy heart that we announce the eternal rest of Carl Lemberger, who hung up his tool belt for the last time on July 4, 2023. Born on December 8, 1951, in Wisconsin, Carl lived a life filled with laughter, creativity, and was blessed by the ability to fix nearly everything. Carl survived colon cancer last year, but was not able to again when it reoccurred this year.
Carl was a man of many talents, from machine operator to car mechanic. If it had an engine, Carl could fix it. Carl could make places look brand new after he painted or hung wallpaper and fixed everything that was not working. Carl enjoyed giving his homemade wine, lamps, candles and wood projects to friends and neighbors. However, his true passion was spending time with his family. He was the proud father of Michelle Shaffer, Nichole (Ben) Donahue, and Kristin (Kevin) Lemberger. Carl was a fun grandfather to Lara, Symantha, Korine, Joshua, Kayla, Bradley, and Emerald. Carl was preceded in death by his loving parents, Earl and RoseMarie Lemberger. He leaves behind his siblings Mary (Ed) Nohr, Marcella (Joseph) Lemberger, Charlie Lemberger and his son Nicholas, Darlene Larson and her children Jessica, Joseph, and Joel, and many loving cousins and relatives who will miss his humor, his kindness, and his ability to fix everything.
Carl enjoyed the tending to his garden, and the pool where he spent countless summer days. He was the heart and soul of every Packer party. Carl was a kind man, always ready to lend a helping hand, or a tool, or a car part, or a paintbrush. He was also incredibly creative, turning everyday items into something special. Whether it was a candle made from old wax, wine made from homegrown grapes, or repurposing scraps of wood, Carl had a knack for creating joy out of the ordinary.
A memorial for Carl will be at Schramka Funeral Home in Hales Corners on Saturday, July 8th from 3:00-4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Zilber Family Hospice.
