arole Jean Burg (Rowe) passed away on September 2nd, 2025 at the age of 91.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years Harvey, parents, Eugene R. Rowe and Bernice G. (Westphal), Stepfather Neil Shannon, Stepsiblings Karen (Greer), Kathy (Powell), Neil Shannon, and Mary (McGree) in Australia alias Shannon Mary.
Loving mother of Daniel (Anne) and Douglas. Proud Grandma of Aaron Burg, Julie Gorham, Crystal and Travis Burg. Great-Grandma of Madison Campbell, Ellie and Lukas Gorham.
Carole was born January 28th, 1934, in Powell, Wisconsin. She stayed with her grandparents in Park Falls. The family moved to Milwaukee where she attended Wisconsin Avenue School, and later moved to Pewaukee. She graduated from Pewaukee High School where she played trombone in the band and was class salutatorian. She graduated from Milwaukee County School of Nursing as an RN. Carole worked at the YMCA Camp Minikani on Lake Amy Belle as the camp nurse. She married Harvey Burg June 30th, 1956. Carole worked at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls for many years. She was one of the first nurses certified to provide chemotherapy treatment to cancer patients in Wisconsin. Carole enjoyed getting together with her friends for a good game of Bridge. She also worked at the family business Burg's Radio & TV in downtown Menomonee Falls. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Carole enjoyed dancing the polka and had two songs written for her by Dr. John Check from "The Three of Us": "Harvey and Carole's Polka" and "Carole and Harvey's Waltz".
She had her motorcycle license and enjoyed riding her Yamaha with Harvey at their place in Iola, WI. Carole was a skilled seamstress and could make or mend any clothing. She enjoyed cooking everything but mash potatoes and has passed down several favorite family recipes. Carole was proud to serve as a poll worker for the Village of Menomonee Falls for many years. She contributed weekly updates on the Cub Scout activities for the Menomonee News. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be September 19th at 10:15 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church (Cleveland Avenue, Menomonee Falls). Visitation at church from 9 AM until the time of Mass. Interment to follow Mass at St. Mary's cemetery.
