Charles Kaufman

Charles "Chuck" Walter Kaufman, 54, of Colgate WI, passed away on November 22, 2024. Chuck was born on August 3, 1970, to his parents Walter and Sally. He had one sister, Cindi, who passed away in 1998. His son, Dylan (Alison) was born in 2003. In 2023, he met Joy Balz through mutual friends. She was his best friend and the love of his life, standing by his side through his battle with cancer. They married in 2024, and he became a proud and loving stepfather to Madelyn and Nora. Chuck loved the outdoors and instilled his family's long tradition of deer and duck hunting in his son Dylan. He was so looking forward to celebrating Dylan and Alison's wedding, becoming a grandfather, and having another hunting buddy. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and building furniture. He enjoyed playing outside with his dogs Willa and Millie; he hoped Millie would grow to be a great hunting companion for him and Dylan. Chuck loved his job at Marlow & Sons Machining, where he worked for 28 years. Chuck is survived by his Aunt Renate Kaufman, his cousins Billy (Janelle) and Vicki (Richard) Conrad, as well as many other friends and family that love and will miss him dearly. A private service and burial will be held for the immediate family. A small Celebration of Life will be held by invitation in the summer of 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
