Charles John Lauth, known to friends and family as Chuck, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, in Jackson, WI, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 6, 1958, in Milwaukee, WI, Chuck's life was marked by his spirited nature and passionate engagement with the world around him.
His first job was a caddy at North Hills Country Club, a job that taught him the values of hard work and perseverance. His adventurous spirit led him to work with a traveling carnival, where he brought joy to many as he ran the rides. Over time, Chuck settled into vocations that demonstrated his practical skills, working as a house painter before eventually becoming an electrician. His knowledge and reliability made him a respected figure in his professional circles. From there, Chuck was a caregiver to his late mother, and more recently, a caregiver to his brother, Scott.
But work was only one aspect of Chuck's full and vibrant life. He was an avid sportsman, managing and playing on local softball teams, where his leadership and enthusiasm brought the team together both on and off the field. Chuck also found joy in the calm concentration of frisbee golf and enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie found on the golf course. He was an avid fan of his Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Those who knew Chuck will remember his love for dogs which includes his black lab, Pepper and his late mother's dog, Missy. He also acquired the skills of being a very good cook, learning from his mother and grandmother at an early age.
Chuck is survived by his loving family, including his brothers Edward Lauth (Patricia) and Scott Lauth; his sisters Suzette Behling (Brian) and Karen Malm, nephews, nieces, other relatives and close friends. Even though Chuck never had children of his own, he cherished the time spent with his nephews Cody Lauth and Jacob Behling, and his niece, Nicole Behling.
Rest in peace Chuck. Your memory will forever be a beacon of light for all who had the pleasure of knowing you.
