Charles F. Meyer Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Grafton Hospital.
Chuck was born December 11, 1936, in Youngstown, OH. Son of the late Charles F. Meyer Sr. and Grace (nee Stadler) Meyer. His family moved to Cecil, WI in 1945. He graduated from Bonduel High School in 1955. He served 4 years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1959. He married Caroline (nee Brusewitz) in 1959, relocated to the Milwaukee area and in 1966 moved to Menomonee Falls where they raised their two girls. On October 24, 2021, Chuck and Caroline celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
After completing his 5 year steamfitters' apprenticeship in 1966, Chuck was able to retire at the age of 61. After a very fulfilling career as a steamfitter, Chuck and Caroline built their retirement home on Shawano Lake in 1997.
Chuck enjoyed many hobbies with his family including snowmobiling, motorcycle rides and boating on Shawano Lake. Chuck and Caroline ventured out on many vacations in the states and abroad. Chuck was an avid sports enthusiast, supporting his Wisconsin teams and always enjoyed a round of golf with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife Caroline, two daughters Corie (Keith) Rivers and Connie (Gary) Weissling, grandchildren Joseph (Nicole) Rivers, Jamie (Robert) Limbach, Jake and Josh Weissling, great-grandchildren Aubrey and Blake Rivers. Further survived by his brother Don (Ileen) Meyer, brother-in-law Milt (Jean) Brusewitz, and many loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Saturday, November 13, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. A light luncheon will follow the Celebration at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Fisher House Wisconsin, to support veterans' and military families who need temporary housing, would be appreciated.
