Charlie Mateusz Ronquillo passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29th, 2023 in Mequon, Wisconsin. Charlie was only one year old. He was born on April the 4th of 2022 at Columbia Saint Mary's hospital in Ozaukee.
Charlie is survived by his loving parents Suzie and Andrew Ronquillo, his doting big sister Vera Ronquillo, his Poppa Dennis Ceplina and Gammy Chris Ceplina, his Gramma Nancy Ronquillo and Grandpa Thomas Ronquillo. He will be forever remembered by his Uncle James Ceplina, Aunt Stacy Ceplina, Uncle Matthew Ceplina and Uncle John Ronquillo. His memory will be forever cherished by his Great Aunts and Uncles and extended cousins on both sides of the loving family trees.
Although his life was short, it was filled with love and joy. Charlie was a sweet little boy who enjoyed being snuggled rather than taking steps on his own. Charlie was loved by all that met him and was frequently described as his parents' "smiley boy". When the spirit of adventure came upon Charlie he would crawl with one leg tucked in, stopping only to look back over his shoulder with a broad semi toothed smile and eyes that gleamed "are you coming?!" Charlie's playtime favorites included peek-a-boo, cars, Elmo, trading toys and riding slides with his one and only big sister, exploring and tossing the contents of cabinets or drawers all around for his perfectly patient parents to pick up, and delicately testing anything electronic with buttons to be pushed. At mealtime he was a little boy who ate like a man, lunging for all manner of meats while picking up vegetables and dropping them over the side of his high chair - proudly announcing "uh oh" as he let gravity do the work. Above all else Charlie wanted to be loved and share his love, his element was in his mother's arms where he knew he belonged and now she carries him in her heart forever and beyond.
