It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Constance "Connie" Janikowski (née Hojnacki), who passed away on November 9, 2024. Born on June 12, 1934, Constance made an indelible impact on the lives of all who knew her during her remarkable life journey.
Constance was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her only son, Mark Janikowski, and her granddaughters, Miranda and Lauren Janikowski, who will always cherish her memory. Constance was predeceased by her loving parents, Harry and Phyllis Hojnacki, and her devoted husband, Kenneth Janikowski.
A proud graduate of the class of 1952 from Holy Angels High School, Constance went on to hold the illustrious position of Corporate Secretary at Interstate Drop Forge and also sat on their Board of Directors. Additionally, she was a revered model for both Schlitz and Blatz Brewing Companies, accomplishments that brought her immense personal fulfillment.
She found great joy in the simplicities of life. Her hobbies ranged from quilting to reading, bird watching, and gardening. She also enjoyed the occasional Old Fashioned and could often be found on Fridays at The Elks Club enjoying a fish fry with her close friend, Sandy. Constance cherished the moments she spent in St. Germain, Wisconsin, which was her favorite vacation spot.
Throughout her life, Constance was a faithful attendee of Our Lady of Good Hope Church, where her faith and community spirit were evident.
Constance was laid to rest privately surrounded by close loved ones; your thoughts and prayers are eminently appreciated. She can be visited at Holy Cross Cemetery inside the West Chapel.
Constance will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her. May her soul rest in peace.
