Mequon

Daniel J. Krautkramer, 66, of Mequon, WI, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on September 28, 2026 with his loving family and friend at his side after a two year battle with cancer. He was born on August 19, 1960 to the late Lester Leo and Lois (Mahoney) Krautkramer of Thiensville, WI.
He is survived by his sister Mary (Chuck) Moeri; special nieces and nephews: Fred, Sheri, Liz, Nathan, Andrew, and Rebecca; great nieces and nephews, Jacob, Zach, Ethan, Nolan, Etta, Ellie, Lula, Jack, Reese and Victoria. He is also survived by many dear friends and their families.
Along with his parents he was Preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Fred, sister-in-law Mary, and nephew Michael.
Dan was a 1978 graduate of Homestead High School. He then went on to UW Lacrosse, graduating in 1982 with a degree in Computer Science. While at Lacrosse he was a Trainer for the Lacrosse Football team. He went on to Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a MA in Business Management.
His professional career spanned many industries including entertainment, professional sports, computer security, and payroll. He worked at the Milwaukee Brewers for 15 years and Stratus Computer Security among other positions.
Dan's greatest calling was that of uncle. He found great joy in his extended family, keeping tabs on them with weekly phone calls which often began, "Hello there..." or "This is your Uncle Dan..." One knew very quickly where the conversation was heading depending on the opening line. His calls from the North Pole and beautiful tenor voice singing to them on their birthdays will be greatly missed. Dan never met a stranger and loved recounting stories from the past with great detail and fanfare. He was an avid Wisconsin sports enthusiast, cheering on the University of Wisconsin, The Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He loved playing golf and catching up with lifelong friends over dinner. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and love.
There will be a service celebrating Dan's life on October 16, 2026, 11:00 am, Cornerstone Church Grafton, 1187 Falls Rd. Grafton, WI 53024. The Service will also be streamed live:
