Daniel Leffingwell “Dan” Netzow

Daniel Leffingwell “Dan” Netzow passed away on April 29, 2026 at Willowbrook Place in Thiensville, WI. Dan was 77 years old. Born on August 27, 1948, in Watertown, WI, he was the son of Dr. Earl J. and Lucile (nee Leffingwell) Netzow. He grew up in Lake Mills, WI and graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1966. He attended the University of Wisconsin-OshkosAfter college, Dan spent some time in Lake Mills getting involved in construction work. He then moved to Aspen, Colorado where he began his career in finish carpentry, living in Colorado most of his adult life.

Dan loved to sail (established by his summer visits to Sucker Brook where he and cousin Jerry sailed the Lake Michigan Blue), to ski on the slopes of the Colorado Rockies, and to fish (a favorite spot was Peavy Pond near the Netzow Cottages on Lake Ellen in Channing, MI.)

Dan was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Earl J. and Lucile Netzow and a brother Earl Jeffrey Netzow. Dan is survived by his wife, Ann (nee Long) Netzow of Middleton, WI, a brother Thomas (Barbara) of Thiensville and Townsend, WI, and nieces Emily Netzow and Abigail Netzow.
