David Becker

August 28, 1943 — September 7, 2025

David passed into Eternal Life on September 7, 2025, peacefully in his sleep. He was born to life on August 28, 1943, to Rayburn and Norma Becker.

Along with his parents David was reunited with his sister Lynn and an infant brother named Josiah. Keeping David's memory alive are his beloved wife of 35 years, Theresa "Tere", his children Todd, Kurt (Jennifer), Bret (Amanda), Katie, Tammy Ritter, Melissa (Mike) Westendorf and Nick Stolz; grandchildren Kamryn, Jillian, Bohdi, Crosby, Sunny, Amanda, Peyton, Adam (Rose), Abby and Thomas. Further survived by other family and friends.

David attended the University of Illinois and was an NCAA Gold Medalist for Big Ten Track and Field Championship in 1964. In 1969 David graduated after four years of Pre-Med and four years of Doctoral study in Orthopedics. He served his country in the U.S. Navy where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After his time in the military David taught at the Milwaukee V.A. while simultaneously working on his residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Upon moving to Wisconsin he was on staff at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Hospital, Columbia Health Sytem, Aurora Medical Center Hartford and Blount Orthopedic Clinic of Milwaukee. David also volunteered as a doctor for the Shorewood High School football team and many Ironman Triathlons. He was a member of the Wisconsin Orthopedic Society and the Milwaukee Orthopedic Society.

David will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
