Of Germantown. Went to Heaven on September 26, 2024 at the age of 84. Much beloved husband of Yvonne Tietyen for 30 years. He is survived by his sister Deborah (Thomas) Serafin of Olath, KS, nieces Gael (Jeff) Fulcer and Katelyn Serafin. Further survived by many relatives, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents Elben and Viola (Rehfeld) Tietyen, step-mother Ruth Tietyen and brother Thomas (the late Audrey) Tietyen.
David was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 3, 1940. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School, attended UW-Milwaukee and received his MBA from UCLA. He was also a member of the US Coast Guard. David was a wonderful writer and also the author of "The Illustrated Disney Songbook", "The Musical World of Disney" and "Business to Business Marketing" by Hunter/Tietyen. He greatly enjoyed his time as Professor Emeritus at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). David had a passion for golf and you could find him many a day playing on the golf course. He also loved traveling with Yvonne and enjoyed that time relaxing on many a cruise ship. He is a friend of Bill W.
The family wishes to thank Froedtert Hospital and Kathy Hospice, both in West Bend, for the wonderful care David received.
Visitation Friday, October 18, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM at CrossWay Church, W156 N10041, Pilgrim Rd., Germantown, followed by a Funeral Service at 5:30 PM.
