Debra Ann Wiedmeyer, 62, of Mequon, Wisconsin passed away peacefully from liver and kidney failure on Saturday October 15, 2022. Deb was born on September 18, 1960 to James and Joan (Beine) Wiedmeyer in West Bend, Wisconsin. Deb raised her daughters, Allison and Lindsay Neitzel, in Mequon, Wisconsin.
Deb graduated from West Bend East High School in West Bend, WI in 1978. She then attended UW-Milwaukee for college, and went on to receive her MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She spent her career as a radiologist in Milwaukee and Wisconsin Rapids, where she specialized in women's imaging. She enjoyed the intellectual challenge of this work and found great meaning in supporting patients through difficult times. Former co-workers remember her as a hardworking colleague, and a generous friend.
Deb was a lover of dogs, tea, music, and travel. She adored her three dogs, Bailey, Casey and Lucy. Friends and family recall many conversations with Deb over mugs of tea, many laughs shared with her at concerts, and many adventures recounted from her trips abroad.
Left behind to share her memories include her two daughters, Allison and Lindsay Neitzel; mother Joan Wiedmeyer; sisters Diane Fieweger and Lisa Tennies; nieces and nephews Lauren Salazar, Aly Jones, Aaron Tennies, Jessica Fieweger, and PJ Fieweger; great nieces and nephews Arianna Salazar, Callen Salazar and Madelyn Jones. She was preceded in death by her father James Wiedmeyer, parental grandparents John and Dorothy Wiedmeyer and maternal grandparents Eugene and Leona Beine.
A Memorial Service in remembrance of Deb will be held on Saturday October 29, 2022 at Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, 423 N. Main Street, Thiensville, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm with a funeral service at 4:00pm.
The family would like to thank the staff at Columbia St. Mary's in Ozaukee and Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for their care of Deb.
